Company celebrations

The membership of The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) is regarded as the gold standard of professional qualification in the rural sector. To gain membership, Probationers have to take the Association’s demanding two day practical, written and oral examinations.

‘Central’ is made up of local associations, with our own one being the Midland Counties (MCAVA). This was founded in 1871 and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2021.

We held our first ‘in person’ meeting for some time recently, during which, Andrew Granger was presented with his Golden Members certificate — this is awarded to those who have been members for at least 50 years.

Andrew also received a memento to commemorate him being a past president of the MCAVA in 1992, along with being National President of Central in 1999.

Also, at the MCAVA meeting recently, Rebecca Falder of our rural team received her membership certificate together with the other new members of the CAAV.

The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) is a specialist professional body representing, qualifying, and briefing almost 3000 members practising in a diverse range of agricultural and rural work throughout England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

CAAV members are agricultural and rural valuers who provide professional advice and valuation expertise on issues affecting the countryside. These can cover many topics, such as tenancy matters, sales and purchase of farms and land, taxation, compulsory purchase of land and property, auctioneering, conservation issues and farming business advice.

Many congratulations to both Andrew, and Rebecca.
