Peter Buckingham of Andrew Granger & Co. explains why the autumn property market will still provide plenty of opportunities for positive buyers and sellers.
The press is busy telling everyone that the property market is now flat, while many property professionals like us think it is still full of opportunities. New properties continue to enter the sales market all the time. This is because, regardless of the market, there will always people that need to move, for various reasons.
There may be less people looking to move at the moment and therefore less viewings taking place but as we all know, you only need one buyer to buy your property.
The current property market is just different to what we’ve been used to in the last few years and as we all know, nothing can ever stay the same. We just learn to adapt each time.
A seller’s need to sell and a buyer’s need to buy are often regarded as two separate things. But looked at another way each requirement satisfies the other by offering both, a positive solution to their individual needs. Good estate agents look for these perfect opportunities and then offer seller and buyer the chance to strike when the time is right.
The one contributing factor we are finding for a successful property sale is that a realistic price is key, and don’t forget that it’s all relative to what you may be buying next.
Some of our competitors tell us this market is dead and they have little to do, but we are still busy as we see life in every market.
