September each year sees the estate visit for Andrew Granger & Co’s Professional Team’s charity client, Wyggestons Hospital in Leicester.
The team has been managing the Wyggeston’s estate for many years now, and the annual visit gives the client an opportunity to keep up to date with the managed estate, meet and chat to the tenants, and see the changes that have occurred over the past 12 months.
Originally founded as an Almshouse Charity in 1513, Wyggestons has been successfully providing sheltered housing and housing related support and care services for vulnerable older people at its site at Hinckley Road in Leicester since the 1960’s. The estate they own ensures the funds that are required to support the charitable work they provide each year in the Leicester area.
This year’s estate visit, organised by Andrew Granger & Co for Wyggeston’s trustee’s, staff and guests, and Andrew Granger & Co’s Professional Team included Wyggeston Wood, Wyggeston Farm, Welford, New Ashtree Farm, Churchover, and Rugby Services – finished off by lunch as an opportunity to talk about everything they’d seen.
The Rugby Services M6 J1 in Churchover, Rugby, Warwickshire was the brainchild of Andrew Granger & Co’s Professional Director, Andrew Robinson, who worked for 22 years to bring it to fruition on behalf of Wyggeston’s Hospital.
The team went from managing 25 acres of farmland adjacent to the M6 to facilitating the sale of a leasehold for the site, for the creation of a brand-new motorway service area.
Andrew Granger & Co’s Professional Team continues to work hard to advise and make Wyggeston’s estate and assets provide the financial help they need to provide their charity services.
